Please join us for some family-friendly fun on Saturday, November 22 for the first-ever Linkwood Fall Festival. Sponsored by surrounding neighborhoods (Knollwood, Linkwood, Woodshire, Woodside) and the City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department, we will have a petting zoo, turkey give-aways, neighborhood tables, vendors, and fun and games! We look forward to seeing you there!
Linkwood Annual Neighborhood Meeting
Come meet your neighbors, catch up on Linkwood news, hear from our Council Member, and enjoy a meal together! Free dinner from Fajita Pete's will be served starting at 5:00 PM. Bring the kids and your swimsuits! When: Saturday, May 10th, 5:00–7:00 PM Where: 8718 Linkmeadow We'll have plenty of tables set up for dining, but please bring your own chair. Water and sodas will be provided. Special Guest: Council Member Martha Castex-Tatum plans to join us and will speak at the beginning of the meeting. Please arrive early so you don’t miss her remarks! Meeting Summary: This year’s annual meeting is open to all Linkwood residents. We’ve temporarily waived the requirement of dues payment to attend, hoping to engage more neighbors and encourage broader participation. Updates on Linkwood sewage connections SEAL Security statistics Neighborhood finances and Civic Club dues The Linkwood Civic Club will also hold an election for Officers and Board Members for the upcoming year. If you're interested in serving on the Board, please email us at [email protected] with your interest or any questions. The Linkwood Civic Club was created to enable the neighborhood to develop and maintain common areas, and to provide for social welfare of residents. We are a group of neighbors who help make sure that Linkwood stays engaged and beautiful as a small neighborhood.

Thank you for supporting Linkwood! Starting on January 1, 2024, the Linkwood Civic Club annual dues payment will increase by $25 per year, to $300 from $275. Through the end of 2023, you can pre-pay your 2024 dues at the old rate of $275!

Thank you for supporting Linkwood! Please join our our annual Fall Civic Club Meeting and Potluck where we discuss goings-on in the neighborhood, mingle with neighbors, new and old and enjoy great food. This year we will also have a drawing for a Slow Poke Gift Card and a Best Costume Contest for the kid's. Costumes are encouraged for all ages.
In addition, this year we are running a food drive to benefit the Houston Food Bank. Please bring any items you wish to donate to the meeting or drop off between October 27th-31st to the Skaggs Household (8719 Linkfair). Link for the Food Bank's most needed items. Regular trash pickup is every Thursday. Recycling pick-up is every other Thursday. Junk Waste pickup is the 3rd Tuesday of even-numbered months. Tree waste pickup is the 3rd Tuesday of odd-numbered months.
