Where to Find Linkwood

Linkwood is located on the south side of Brays Bayou, just east of Stella Link Rd., inside the I-610 loop. Linkwood is a convenient 10-minute drive from the Texas Medical Center and a 20-minute drive from downtown Houston.

Just to the north of our neighborhood is Brays Bayou, offering easy access to the Brays Bayou Greenway, a ribbon of greenspace and over 150 miles of hike and bike trails along the bayou within the Houston city limits – approximately 30 miles from the Ship Channel to Eldridge – connecting the parks, neighborhoods and people along the way.

The most recent additions to the neighborhood that will make Linkwood even more pedestrian and bicycle-friendly include our new crossing, the Rabbi Samuel Karff Bridge, which connects from Braes Bayou at Linkmeadow Lane and South Braeswood-crossing north to Braes Boulevard at North Braeswood. Our neighborhood is very well-connected to Braes Bayou walking and biking trails, drawing athletes from other neighborhoods to access the resources that make Linkwood a special neighborhood.

Linkwood Park

Picture
Linkwood Park (pictured above) recently underwent a major re-design, including new seating areas, playground equipment, and drainage. The park offers open grass space, tennis courts (soon to be replaced), basketball courts, a baseball field, and a playground. Linkwood Park's new "look" also includes a low fence, an entry gate, and a porch to relax on. It has continued to see improvements supported by the Friends of Linkwood Park. The park also features the vital Linkwood Community Center, a space where neighbors can gather for meetings and school-aged children participate in after-school programs.
