The Linkwood Civic Club has been made aware of several other resources available to our community. These are locally-based sources of funding and case management for various issues related to Hurricane Harvey.

SHUR (Southwest Houston United Responds): "Formed in April 2018 to help our neighbors rebuild Harvey damaged homes, SHUR is a non-profit corporation performing repair services for homeowners whose residence was damaged by Hurricane Harvey and its associated flooding. We assist homeowners who cannot afford commercial services to rebuild their home."

Jewish Family Service: "We offer a partnership between a case manager and a family or individual affected by a disaster to develop and carry out a Recovery Plan. Our program often includes resources or funding and/or technical assistance to ensure holistic services to allow our clients to recover and repair or find a new home." Available to all residents in 77025, and many other zip codes. Call JFS at 713-667-9336 and ask for a Case Manager or email [email protected]

Hurricane Harvey Registry

Rice University has initiated the Hurricane Harvey Registry, a research study that collects information on the impact of Hurricane Harvey on our communities. Participants take on average about 10 minutes to complete this survey.

What is included in the Registry?
It is a brief core survey with questions on health, housing, and vehicle damage resulting from Hurricane Harvey.

Who should complete the Registry's survey?
Any adult in the Harvey-impacted area. If there is more than one adult per household, we ask that each adult complete the survey individually. Your answers are important whether Harvey impacted you severely, lightly, or not at all.

Why should I take the Registry's survey?
The information gathered through the Registry will be used to serve and inform the Harvey-impacted communities. Measuring who is being impacted and how will help to direct the continuing Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, and plan for the future.

The survey is available in English and Spanish here:
